My Suicide Story is a docuseries centered around the stories of those who attempted suicide in the past. The goal of the film series is to de-stigmatize suicide and to help others realize that there is always another option besides taking one’s own life.
Furthermore, the young entrepreneur recently started a public relations company known as Purple Media. Purple Media is a boutique public relations agency which seeks to help client’s gain exposure through getting articles posted on the leading news outlet websites.
But that’s not enough for Christian. Now, he has started an NFT company known as The Alien Vault.
What Are NFTs?
At some point in the past few years, you’ve likely heard of these new trending NFTs which are taking the world by storm. If you’re like many people, you’re probably confused as to what NFTs are and how they work. To be honest, they are quite technical, but we’ll attempt to provide a brief overview of the topic to give you a bit of background.
NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token. Seeing as there are non-fungible tokens, one must correctly assume that there are also fungible tokens. Perhaps the easiest place to start when discussing NFTs is to define what it means to be fungible. Fungible is synonymous with interchangeable.
Dollar bills provide a perfect example of a fungible object. A twenty-dollar bill will have a certain serial number, making it unique from a different 20-dollar bill. But besides that difference, two twenty-dollar bills can easily be exchanged and no one would bat an eye. If someone took twenty dollars from you and then immediately replaced the money, you might be confused, but no harm truly would have been done. That is because money is fungible or interchangeable.
A non-fungible token, on the other hand, is unique and cannot be replaced with another copy of itself. Think of a masterpiece painted by Da Vinci. This painting couldn’t simply be swapped for another version. It is entirely unique.
When it comes to the internet and digital methods, the same rules apply. There are some things online that are fungible, and some that are not.
NFTs are certainly complicated, but if you break it down, they are essentially units of data that are bought, sold, and traded through a digital marketplace. NFTs can include anything from photos to videos to audio messages.
These unique units of data have verifiable ownership and can be easily exchanged through different online marketplaces. Many celebrities and members of the general population have begun to capitalize on the power of NFTs. For instance, Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter, recently created an NFT of one of his most famous tweets from the early days of the app. There are tons of stories just like this that are making headlines and leading people to research NFTs for their own personal use.
What Is The Alien Vault?
The Alien Vault is a group of NFTs created by Christian Massa. Christian has created a selection of Alien NFTs that each has its own unique backstory and name. Customers can purchase one of two aliens at the present moment, whichever one they like best. In the project, Christian has said that customers should “take ownership of the alien that speaks best to you.”
With the purchase of each alien, there are exclusive benefits that will only increase over time as the community grows.
But while there are only two aliens available for purchase at this time, Christian plans to drop new aliens frequently as time goes by. The aliens can be purchased on opensea and payment must be made with Ethereum Coin or ETH.
What Is Ethereum?
Ethereum coin is a type of cryptocurrency. It is a decentralized payment method that is not associated with a bank or backed by an established form of currency.
Many people are drawn to cryptocurrency these days, as they feel that the people themselves should have more control over how money is spent, earned, and traded. They feel that their money shouldn’t be controlled by massive banks overseen by the government.
Naturally, this has created a huge headache for governments and societies around the world as they attempt to navigate the new laws and implications inherent in the switch to (or addition of) a decentralized currency. In the U.S. specifically, 17 different states have passed laws which allow for various levels of cryptocurrency exchange.
Ethereum was created in 2013 and has since become one of the preferred methods of online payment, especially for the purpose of purchasing NFTs. In fact, Ethereum is behind only Bitcoin in terms of popular cryptocurrencies.
Now, progress is underway for the creation of Ethereum 2.0, the next phase of cryptocurrency.
