How many hours a day do you work on average?
On average about 12 hours a day.
Can you describe/outline your typical day?
I wake up, while I am still in bed I check messages and emails (these come in 24/7 because we work in different international markets).
After this, I’ll make coffee and breakfast and then I will usually either work from home or at my office, where my day consists of product development, video calls with distributors and nightclub owners around the world, contacting suppliers, and making plans for what markets to enter, the strategy for entry and the timescale.
I do also travel regularly, at the moment between UK, Marbella, and Dubai, however, I am looking to add Tulum and Miami to this list as soon as we are planning to launch the brand into those locations.
How has being an entrepreneur affected your life?
There is no safety net below you like you would have in a salaried job. As an entrepreneur, you are responsible for everything that happens to you and for your future.
I have had times where I have been scraping by on a student budget, and then times when money has come in from nowhere. There are many unexpected obstacles to overcome which can seem impossible at the time, so you really have to keep your eyes on the goal and keep pushing forwards.
What motivates you?
I am motivated by the knowledge that I will build something great and create a legacy for my family.
How do you generate new ideas?
I find that if you overthink then it stifles your creativity. I try to relax and visualize where I want to be in the future, and this brings new ideas out from my subconscious mind.
What is your greatest fear, and how do you manage fear?
My greatest fear was always to not live a special and meaningful life, I always felt that I was meant for great things, and I would be letting myself down if I didn’t pursue this path.
What are your ideals?
I believe in being true to myself and following my own path through life, I have never been one to succumb to what society tells me to do.
I believe in bringing out the best in people and treating everyone I meet fairly. So many people have great goals and ideas for their lives, and many just need a bit of encouragement, support, and inspiration to start pursuing them.
Many of the most successful and inspirational people have pulled themselves from rock bottom and rebuilt their entire lives, just by staying true to their vision.
I believe you should help and love others as much as possible. There is too much negativity in the world and life is too short to not focus on positivity and trying to do good.
How do you define success?
Happiness is a success. Everyone’s goals are different in life, but it’s getting to the point where you are happy that means you have been successful. Whether that is your business, your family, or where you live in the world, once you are happy with all these things then you are successful.
Do you believe there is some sort of pattern or formula to becoming a successful entrepreneur?
Once you are sure of what you want to create and achieve then persistence and constantly grinding is the only way to be successful. You need to keep fighting an uphill struggle to get there, but as long as you never give up or take your eye off where you want to be, it will happen. You have to earn your success.
What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?
The freedom to direct my life and to be in control of my destiny.
What has been your most satisfying moment in business?
When I finally gained recognition for what I am doing and the path I am on, that felt amazing. There is a very small number of people who believed in me when I was starting out, and I remember exactly who they are.
Most people do not believe in a vision when you first outline it, because they are not capable of thinking that something ambitious is possible. As I have pushed and created my own path, people have noticed that and recognized that, and that does feel special.
