Growing up in an apartment with 5 siblings, ZakG has seen what it is like to struggle to make ends meet. Seeing this has shown him that he does not want his family to have to experience that and puts a chip on his shoulder to turn his dreams into a reality. He knows what he has to do to get to where he wants to go, it is all a matter of putting in the work and trusting the process to get there. Recently he dropped a new single titled “Friends” that you should get familiar with.
“Friends” is based around the concept of people trying to make a place for themselves in your life once you’ve started to see success. No one wants to be there for you when you’re at your lowest or have no sign of light at the end of the tunnel, but as soon as you get a glimpse, they start to crawl their way back to you. ZakG takes note of this and knows that he has the ones that he needs by his side, with no room for new friends. He’s a traveling light moving forward and keeping his success to himself and those closest to him from the start.
